Introduction

Quantik is committed to preventing modern slavery, human trafficking, forced labour, and exploitation within its business and supply chains. The company recognises its obligations under the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and strives to uphold the highest ethical and professional standards in all operations.

Important Notice

This policy should be read alongside the Ethical Procurement and Supply Chain Policy and the Code of Conduct, which outline detailed procedures and expectations.

The policy and supporting arrangements are reviewed annually, or more frequently where changes in legislation, business operations, or identified risks require it. All staff, consultants, and contractors must familiarise themselves with this document and comply with its requirements at all times.

The purpose of this policy is to set out arrangements for:

  • preventing, detecting, and reporting modern slavery and human trafficking;
  • maintaining transparent, fair, and ethical business practices;
  • managing supplier and subcontractor relationships responsibly;
  • ensuring effective due diligence across procurement and recruitment processes; and
  • raising awareness of modern slavery risks throughout the organisation and supply chain.

This policy forms part of the Quantik management system and is reviewed annually, or more frequently where required by law, operations, or identified risks. Updates are communicated to all staff and contractors.

Responsibilities

All employees, consultants, and contractors share responsibility for upholding this policy and ensuring that no form of modern slavery occurs in any part of the business or supply chain. Everyone must:

  • act ethically and with integrity in all professional dealings;
  • remain vigilant and report any suspicions of modern slavery or human trafficking; and
  • co-operate with investigations or audits relating to this policy.

Managers and procurement staff are responsible for implementing due diligence processes, ensuring suppliers and subcontractors comply with this policy, and addressing any non-compliance.

The Directors have overall responsibility for ensuring adequate resources, training, and monitoring systems are in place to implement this policy effectively.

Failure to comply with this policy may result in disciplinary action or termination of contracts.

Supply Chain Diligence

Quantik applies risk-based due diligence procedures for all suppliers and subcontractors, including:

  • pre-qualification checks on ethical practices, labour standards, and compliance history;
  • review of company policies, certifications (e.g. SSIP, ISO, or SEDEX), and declarations;
  • contractual obligations requiring compliance with the Modern Slavery Act 2015; and
  • enhanced due diligence and periodic audits for high-risk suppliers, such as those operating in sectors or regions with higher incidence of labour exploitation.

Quantik will not knowingly engage with any party involved in modern slavery, human trafficking, or forced labour.

Training and Awareness

All employees and managers receive training and awareness on identifying and reporting modern slavery risks as part of induction and refresher programmes.

Procurement and commercial teams receive additional training on supplier vetting, risk assessment, and ethical procurement standards.

Toolkits, guidance notes, and resources are made available to support staff in recognising and managing potential risks.

Reporting and Whistleblowing

Employees, contractors, and third parties are encouraged to raise concerns regarding modern slavery in confidence, without fear of retaliation.

Concerns should be reported to a line manager, the Compliance Lead, or through the confidential reporting channel outlined in the Whistleblowing Policy.

All reports will be investigated promptly, with findings reviewed by senior management. Where breaches are identified, corrective and preventative actions will be implemented.

Risk Assessment and Monitoring

Quantik regularly assesses risks associated with its operations and supply chains, particularly where goods or services are sourced from high-risk areas.

Compliance audits and supplier reviews are undertaken periodically to ensure ongoing adherence to this policy.

Lessons learned from audits or incidents are used to strengthen internal controls and supplier management processes.

Continuous Improvement

Quantik is committed to continually improving its approach to identifying and eliminating modern slavery risks.

Annual reviews of policies, processes, and supplier relationships are conducted to ensure alignment with evolving legislation and best practice.

Policy Review, Staff Acknowledgement, and Sign-Off

This policy must be read and understood by all staff, consultants, and contractors, who must comply with its requirements.

All staff are required to confirm they have read this policy as part of their induction and refresher training.

This Modern Slavery Policy is signed at Director level, demonstrating leadership commitment and accountability.
