Tom Haley

Tom Haley FRICS FCIArb

Director

Tom has over 20 years’ experience handling quantity surveying matters in the construction industry. He is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor and has been appointed as a quantum expert witness on disputes ranging from £100k to £5m, as well as acting as an advocate on disputes ranging from £1m to £80m.

As a former Commercial Leader at Laing O’Rourke, Tom’s project experience covers a wide range of sectors, including residential, health care, education, defence, justice, water, highways, rail, nuclear, manufacturing, and disaster recovery. He takes the time to understands complex technical issues and analyses situations from multiple perspectives. He produces high-quality reports based on robust methodologies.

He is an RICS APC assessor and is the external examiner for the BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying Degree Apprenticeship course at Leeds Beckett University.

Tom leads the provision of construction claims and expert witness services to our clients.

He is skilled in business and system reviews, business planning, commercial reporting, financial forecasting and training and development, He has worked across multiple sector, including retail, defence, education, residential, sustainability and infrastructure. He has developed many leading commercial professionals in the construction industry and has a passion for helping people achieve their potential, he takes an active role developing and mentoring our team.

David Stones

Commercial Manager

David has 17 years’ experience working with leading main contractors in the Yorkshire region. He is experienced in handling all aspects of commercial management from pre-contract through to final account.

With a strong commercial awareness, he thrives in a team environment, specialising in the design and procurement of projects to minimise risk and maximise opportunity. David has a wealth of experience handling final accounts, including the pricing and negotiation of variations, and loss and expense.

Andrew Shaw

Andrew Shaw

Commercial Manager

Andrew is an experienced commercial management professional with over 20 years’ experience working with leading tier one main contractors. He has commercially led major projects in the UK and Middle East, handling all aspects of commercial management.

Building on a strong foundation by training in a main contracting environment, Andrew transferred to the Middle East and held change control responsibilities on major oil and gas schemes, as well as commercial management roles on some of the region’s largest projects. Since returning to the UK he commercially led several major projects in the Yorkshire region, working on schemes both pre- and post-contract.

Nathan has experience in all aspects of quantity surveying and commercial management, including budget setting, procurement and tendering, reconciling cost against budget, management and control of subcontract accounts, administering contractual provisions, and preparing monthly financial reports.

Nathan provides high quality quantity surveying services to our clients, and regularly and consistently receives positive feedback about his professionalism, diligence and work ethic. He has delivered these services on a range of projects which include commercially managing a £10m NEC specialist subcontract, providing procurement services to a main contractor providing offsite schools solutions, and preparing loss and expense assessments for a manufacturer or engineered products in the nuclear industry.

Ibrahim Khan

Ibrahim Khan

Graduate Quantity Surveyor

Ibrahim is an award-winning student who graduated from Leeds Beckett University in 2023 with first class honours. He collected The Women and the Built Environment Dissertation Prize, the Society of Construction and Quantity Surveyors in Local Government prize for Measurement and the 2023 SCQS Prize for Best Overall Performance in Measurement.

He commenced his career with Amey, working on highways projects, and joined Quantik as a Graduate Quantity Surveyor supporting the team with the provision of all aspects of quantity surveying and commercial management services, including budget setting, procurement and tendering, reconciling cost against budget, management and control of subcontract accounts, administering contractual provisions, and preparing monthly financial reports.

Ibrahim provides quantity surveying services to our clients and is currently working towards becoming a Chartered Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.
